For New Amazon Prime Users
We make Amazon Prime available through Google Play Store credit only. At the present time, this is not possible on Apple devices, and Amazon gift cards cannot be used towards a Prime subscription. Therefore, you require access to an Android device and Google Play account to take advantage of this perk.
Ensure that you have the Amazon app downloaded from the app store here and installed on your Android device.
Open your account page. Scroll down and tap Memberships & Subscriptions.
You should see a promotion for Amazon Prime. Tap the yellow buttons shown to begin your membership (you should see a notice that says "Sign up must be done through Google Play on the mobile app).
When the Google Play payment window appears, tap the right arrow next to your default payment method.
If you have already redeemed the Google Play gift card to your balance, then select Google Play balance. If you are yet to redeem the Google Play gift card, you can do so in the checkout window by clicking Redeem code.
Once you have successfully applied the Google Play gift card balance to your account, proceed with the payment – ensuring that you have selected Google Play balance as the payment method.
Note: you may be asked if you want to add a backup payment method such as a card on file – feel free to select No if you want to ensure payment is only taken from your Google Play balance (when your Prime subscription is due to renew).
For Existing Amazon Prime Users
